About The Speaker
Florian Hoos is the Director of the Centre for Entrepreneurship at “Technische Universität Berlin” (TUB) since March 2017, and a part-time Affiliate Professor at HEC Paris. Before joining TUB, he worked for six years as a Professor (2011-2017) and the Scientific Director (2015-2017) of the Master in Sustainability and Social Innovation at HEC Paris. He was listed as one of the 40 best Business School Professors under 40 in the world by Poets & Quants in 2014 and won the Best Professor Award of HEC Paris (“Prix Vernimmen”) in the same year. Florian developed one of the first French Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC) about Changemaking and Social Entrepreneurship, and is passionate about the digitalization of education offerings. He still teaches Social Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Business Development at various institutions, works as a consultant for social impact assessment and ethical decision making, and is an active researcher with publications in leading international scientific journals such as the Journal of Business Ethics. He also serves on the editorial board of the leading academic journal Academy of Management Learning & Education. He earned his Ph.D. from HEC Lausanne (Switzerland) in 2010. He also holds a M.Sc. (Diplom-Kaufmann) in business administration from the University of Giessen (Germany).
